Re.: Follow-up to July 22 Neighborhood Meeting
Dear First Ward Constituent:
The fire department representative called and apologized for missing the meeting. He told me he had a family emergency and that he will be at our September meeting.
Commander Cangemi, Albany Police Department, sent me an e-mail concerning the complaints about speeding on the side streets off of Second Avenue. I have pasted his e-mail below:
"I've had the south station address this complaint, I also informed Cmdr. Flanger about this issue who is having SDU and traffic safety address this as well. Traffic engineering is considering speed bumps in the area that are removable at winter time."
I have not heard anything from the Department of General Services about not sending a representative to the July meeting, nor about what the new anti-litter program will entail. I will request that DGS send a representative to the September meeting (time and date to be determined).
Thank you for taking the time to attend the July neighborhood meeting and I look forward to seeing you in September, if not sooner. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns you have about the neighborhood or the City.
